Darkness and Beauty

The train tracks that lead to Auschwitz Concentration Camp--Site 2. Auschwitz, Poland.

It's weird taking photo's at a place like Auschwitz. It's beautiful yet haunting. I'm currently on vacation in Europe . Will write soon.

What an amazing picture! I was in one of the concentration camps in Germany - Dachau. It was a sunshiney day but the atmosphere was so thick with gloom and ghost of the horror past. I cannot imagine how it feels at to stay there at night. Your picture said it all.

Incredible shot.....

Thought I'd take a peek over here to see if you'd written anything yet about yours and Dan's Haiti experience when I stumbled onto this post...stopped me in my tracks, so to speak...

Ever read "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom? She was a prisoner here.....Phenomenal read. Phenomenal woman.

Thanks for the view, Ron...

Knowing what atrocities occurred in that concentration camp I can only imagine how haunting it must have been to be present in this place. Your photo depicts this so perfectly..cheers Kath
